Note: Please excuse how grossly out of date this site is, I've been busy working at LinkedIn :p
I used to work as a full time UI/UX Developer at Mitchell1, designing what new web and Windows product updates will look and feel like through wireframes, then turning those mockups into working prototypes. Working on multiple projects at a time in an Agile/Scrum environment, it is my job to make sure everything is mobile-friendly and responds to all devices and screens. I coordinate with our in-house developers to understand how the back and middle tiers will work with front end, as well as lead developers overseas in how to best tackle design issues.
Before that, I worked as a full time Web Developer & SharePoint Admin for Peregrine Semiconductor, as well as went to school part time for my BA in Interdisciplinary Computing & the Arts at UCSD, I was also the Lead Python Programmer for the WalkingTools Lab at UCSD. During that time, I was the Professional Development Co-Chair for Women in Computing at UCSD. I still speak on panels to incoming freshman and transfer students on behalf of the ICAM major for the Visual Arts department a few times a year.
My goal is to use skills to change the world through great front-end interface and usability design. My passion for not just creating, but creating beautifully, drives me everyday to make the world a better place. It's my belief that form and function are not just closely linked, they are inseparable. Having function without a coherent user interface is like having a car with no steering wheel or dashboard.
